EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin just put hard numbers on the Trump energy agenda. On Fox Business’s Evening Edit, Zeldin said President Trump’s latest action fixing Biden-era oil and gas regulations will deliver $45 billion in regulatory savings, 210 million more barrels of U.S. oil production, and over 1.4 trillion cubic feet of U.S. natural gas.

Those savings sit on top of a record year. “In the last fiscal year, in fiscal year 2026, EPA finalized $1.6 trillion worth of deregulation,” Zeldin said. “And while we were doing it, we were proving that we could protect the environment and grow the economy. We don’t have to choose between the two.”

The Lubbock announcement President Trump made last week is the latest move in that stack. Zeldin was there with the President when the EPA action unleashing more American oil and gas was rolled out — another direct hit on the red tape that kept energy in the ground and prices high.

“President Trump understands how incredibly important it is for America to be safe, affordable, and prosperous,” Zeldin said. From Venezuela barrels coming online to Keystone and the Canada trade deal, the Administrator said the administration will “just keep on delivering with every day and every opportunity we have.”

That is energy dominance with a price tag attached — trillions in deregulation already locked in, tens of billions more in savings on the way, and American oil and gas finally free to flow. Under President Trump and Administrator Zeldin, the EPA is an engine for growth again, not a roadblock.
