Asked how the administration is doing on its promises, Vice President JD Vance did not hesitate at his Fox News town hall Thursday. “If you take the whole suite of promises,” he said, “I think we’re doing a very good job.”
“On immigration, we closed the border on day one,” Vance said. As the White House’s Rapid Response team summed it up: zero illegal border crossings.
He pointed to the fight for American paychecks. “We prioritized fighting against visa fraud that big corporations were using to undercut the wages of American workers,” Vance said. “That’s a big win.”
On housing, Vance said the border win is helping, along with a direct move to protect families: “We’ve also banned Wall Street from buying up American homes.”
“You actually see in the state of Texas, the list price of homes doubled during the four years of the Biden administration,” he said. “It has cooled off in the state of Texas and elsewhere in the country too.” Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
