Tennessee is sending Sen. Bill Hagerty back to the U.S. Senate. The Associated Press called the race for Hagerty at 10:28 p.m. CT Tuesday, giving the America First Republican a second term over Memphis Democrat Marquita Bradshaw and several independent candidates.
President Trump endorsed Hagerty in March 2025, and Hagerty ran on the President’s agenda. In this Congress he has introduced or co-sponsored the “End Housing Welfare for Illegal Aliens Act,” the “Stop Illegal Aliens Drunk Driving” bill and the “ICE Protection Act of 2026,” along with work on lowering the cost of living.
On Election Day morning, Hagerty stood with a crowd of supporters holding his signs and asked Tennesseans to finish the job. “Please vote Republican up and down the ballot,” he said. “It’s loud and clear here in Tennessee. We stand for faith, liberty and freedom, not only across the state but across the nation.”
Tennessee Republicans are piling up wins across the ballot. The Tennessee Senate Republican Caucus is congratulating re-elected state senators tonight, including Paul Bailey, Kerry Roberts, Ed Jackson, Rusty Crowe, Steve Southerland and Adam Lowe.
Unofficial returns from the Tennessee Secretary of State, with 94 of 95 counties completed as of 10:34 p.m. CT, show Hagerty with 1,137,064 votes (55.1%) to Bradshaw’s 883,884 (42.9%). The results are unofficial until certified. Stay with The Patriot Oasis as more Tennessee races are called.
