East Tennessee started Election Day with a rally. “Kicking off Election Day here in Knoxville with @TimBurchett and @GlennJacobsTN at a great Get Out the Vote rally!” Sen. Marsha Blackburn’s campaign for governor posted Tuesday morning. “Tennessee, get out and VOTE!”

The message from the stage was simple. “Today’s the day. Put everything on the table. Get to the polls. Get your friends. Call 10 friends and neighbors,” one speaker told the crowd. “Drag them if you got to… stay in line and vote. Please vote.”

“That’s right. If you are in line, you will get to vote,” another speaker said. “So hang in there and make certain that you get your vote in today. And like Tim said, get your neighbors out to vote.” The rally closed with the ask: “Stay in line. Vote. Call your friends and family. Send Tim Burchett back to Congress and send Marsha Blackburn to the Governor’s office. We need your vote.”

Gov. Bill Lee reminded voters: “It’s Election Day, Tennessee! Polls across the state will be open until 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET.” At noon, Blackburn’s campaign posted: “7 HOURS UNTIL POLLS CLOSE, TENNESSEE!”

The Tennessee House Republican Caucus is urging voters to vote YES on all three constitutional amendments. Amendment 1 lets judges deny bail to the most dangerous defendants when the evidence is strong. Amendment 2 keeps a state property tax off the table for good. Amendment 3 gives crime victims stronger rights, including a voice in parole. Find your polling place at GoVoteTN.gov.
