Tennessee conservatives are working to the final whistle. Rep. Tim Burchett spent Friday afternoon going door to door with his buddy Austin, posting a video of the stop. “Me and my Buddy Austin #KnockingDoors on Friday,” Burchett wrote.

“Friday afternoon, few days before the election. Tuesday, of course, the third,” Burchett said in the video. “Got another yard sign.” His message for the home stretch: “Still knocking on doors. Let’s run through the tape, America.”

Sen. Marsha Blackburn made her closing case in the governor’s race on Friday evening. “Tennessee is a well-led, well-governed state, and I intend to keep it that way,” she wrote. “I’m the only conservative Republican in this race, and as your governor, I’ll make certain Tennessee continues moving in the right direction.”

In Nashville, Gov. Bill Lee announced the appointment of Chris Hansen as interim commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Correction. “Chris is a committed public servant who has faithfully served Tennesseans for over a decade, and I appreciate his willingness to lead,” Lee said.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Voters must bring a valid photo ID. Polling locations and sample ballots are at GoVoteTN.gov.
