President Trump gave Ohio credit for a big win at his rally Wednesday night. “Because of Jon Husted, really, this was his baby, the Department of War has selected the new home of the Navy’s Future Component Repair Center, which is a big deal, to work on all new and existing submarines right here in Ohio,” he said. The White House Rapid Response team noted the new home is Cleveland.
The President said Ohio fought hard for it. “They’d call, ‘Sir, can we speak to you,’ like two times, three times a day,” he joked. “They wanted it. I gave it to you.”
He made clear who delivered. “No other senator would have been able to do this,” President Trump said of Sen. Husted.
And there could be more on the way. “I wanted you to know that if Jon Husted wins, I am going to consider putting the Space Academy right here in Ohio,” the President said, to cheers.
For Ohio workers, the message is simple: America First means good jobs and big defense work coming home, and keeping Husted in the Senate keeps it coming.
