A new book is making a claim about Jared Kushner, and President Trump says it is flat wrong. “There’s a new book out that says Jared Kushner had access to $2 billion from Middle East,” a reporter told the President at the White House on Friday.
Trump did not hesitate. “It’s a false story,” he said. “It’s a false story. Totally false story. It was totally an incorrect story.”
“It was just amazing,” the President said of the claim.
It is a familiar pattern ten days before an election: a splashy book, a big number, and a story that falls apart when the President is asked about it directly. As the White House’s Rapid Response team put it, the story was “just Fake News.”
