President Trump brought the receipts to Middle Georgia on Saturday night, telling the Perry rally crowd that the American worker is winning like never before.
“Income for individuals has soared to the highest level in history,” the President said. “More Americans are working today than at any time in the history of our country.”
He turned next to poverty. “The poverty rate has just reached the best level,” Trump said. “Poverty is bad. Real bad. But it’s the single best level in American history. That’s a big thing.”
The gains reach every community, the President said: “African American poverty, Hispanic American poverty, and Native American poverty. And by the way, Asian American poverty, all those rates are at the best levels ever recorded.”
Record paychecks, record jobs and record-low poverty. That is the America First economy, and President Trump is asking voters to keep it going.
