West Tennessee is lining up behind Sen. Marsha Blackburn in the final days of the governor’s race. In a video posted by her campaign, Henderson Mayor Terry Bell made his pitch: “Hey guys, this is Terry Bell, Mayor of the City of Henderson. Man, I’m excited to be on Team Marsha. I know she’s going to make a wonderful governor.”

Bell said he knows her record up close. “I’ve known her for years. She was our congressman here and senator and she’s been so accessible to us,” he said. “We just love her and she works hard. You will not find anybody that will work harder to move this state forward. And so I just encourage you to vote with Team Marsha.”

Blackburn answered right back: “Grateful for your support, Mayor! Looking forward to working together to keep Tennessee moving forward. Election Day is November 3rd! Go vote, Tennessee!”

Tennesseans have already turned out in big numbers, with more than 1.28 million early ballots cast. On Sunday her campaign posted the countdown: “2 DAYS TO GO, TENNESSEE!”

From Henderson to Memphis to the mountains, local leaders know Blackburn shows up and gets results. The last chance to vote is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
