Tennessee Republicans are closing strong. At Sen. Marsha Blackburn’s rally in Hendersonville, Johnny Garrett, the Republican nominee for the open 6th Congressional District seat, laid out what Nov. 3 is about.

“We’re gonna make a statement that Tennessee remains a conservative state, remains the conservative capital of the world,” Garrett told the crowd, “when we elect the first female governor of the state of Tennessee,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn.

Blackburn returned the support. Sharing the moment, she wrote that her “friend @JohnnyGarrett is going to be a fantastic representative for the people of the 6th District.” Her message to voters: “Vote Johnny, and vote Marsha!”

Tennesseans are already showing up. Early voting closed Thursday evening, and the state Division of Elections reported 1,130,292 Tennesseans had voted early or absentee through Wednesday, up 46.6 percent from the 2022 midterm. “More than one million Tennesseans have already made their voices heard,” Secretary of State Tre Hargett said.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Voters must bring a valid photo ID, and the ballot also includes three proposed amendments to the Tennessee Constitution. Polling locations and sample ballots are at GoVoteTN.gov.
