President Trump called it on Venezuela, and the oil is now on its way. “You look at everything the President said about Venezuela. He has been proven right,” Jarrod Agen, Executive Director of the National Energy Dominance Council, said on Tuesday. “You’ve got a huge shipment of Venezuela crude on its way to America, all thanks to President Trump.”
Agen said several shipments have been coming, and together with the President’s other moves, “is starting to drive down energy prices.”
He was blunt about who caused the bottleneck. “The problem now is what Democrats did to refining in this country. Democrats had a war on refining. They shut down refineries,” Agen said. “California used to have dozens of refineries. They’re down to single-digit refineries.”
“The President has reversed that war on refineries,” he said. “He announced last week he’s going to give $150 million to increase refining capacity here in the United States. That is what we need to do.”
“We have crude flowing to the United States. We have more oil coming out of the Middle East than before the war. We’ve got Venezuela oil coming to the United States,” Agen said. Democrats are trying to stop American refining. President Trump is building it back.
