President Trump brought the numbers to the place that proves them. “Under our leadership, the Port of Corpus Christi just had its nine busiest months in history,” he told the crowd at the port on Tuesday.
“We’re steering them all to Texas. We’re sailing them to Louisiana. Alaska is a big beneficiary,” the President said of the tankers lining up for American oil. “Everybody is a beneficiary. The whole country.”
“Texas is now producing more oil and gas than at any time in its history,” Trump said.
He took on the fake news before it could spin it. “Your price is going to come down, but your country is making a fortune, and that’s really good, right?”
The President also rattled off the investment pouring into the Lone Star State under his America First trade agenda: Apple at $60 billion, Texas Instruments at $46 billion, Bristol Myers Squibb at $2.3 billion for a Houston campus, Eli Lilly at $6.5 billion, and Toyota at $3.6 billion to move production from Mexico to Texas. Drill, baby, drill.
