President Trump set the record straight on Iran in Corpus Christi on Tuesday. “We’re now in the throes of having an even greater victory against Iran and stopping them from ever having a nuclear weapon,” he said.

“You’ve got to understand that America did not start the war with Iran,” the President said. “Iran has been waging this war against America since 1979, killing many, many of our great people.”

“They’ve killed thousands of our soldiers and wounded so many more,” Trump said, adding that many of those wounded are “living a hard life.”

“Past leaders should have settled this problem long ago, but they didn’t have the courage or intelligence to do it,” he said. President Trump had both.

And the results are flowing. “More oil is right now flowing out of the Hormuz Strait,” Trump said. “We’re thinking about renaming it the Trump Strait.” The crowd loved it.
