Four days before the midterms, President Trump told his Daytona Beach, Florida crowd exactly what is on the ballot. “Every single Democrat in Congress voted against our tax cuts,” he said. “They voted against no tax on tips. They voted against no tax on overtime. They voted against no tax on Social Security for our seniors.”
Then he went to election integrity. “They voted against voter ID because they want to cheat. They voted against proof of citizenship because they want to cheat,” Trump said. “The reason they want to cheat is their policies are so bad they can’t get elected.”
The President said he has watched politicians of both parties his whole life, and they all promised lower taxes. “This is the only party I’ve ever seen where they openly campaign: we will raise your taxes,” he said. “It’s crazy.”
Trump ran through the rest of the record: Democrats voted against securing the border, and in favor of the worst inflation and the highest energy costs in American history. They voted for transgender mutilation of children and for men in women’s sports.
He also had the crowd laughing, sharing the First Lady’s advice about his famous rally dance: “Darling, you’re the president of the United States. You’ve done a great job. But darling, please, please don’t dance anymore.” The choice on Tuesday is simple: lower taxes, secure elections and a secure border.
