President Trump gave the crowd in Perry, Georgia, a reminder on Saturday night of the promise he made and kept: the border is closed.
“No other president has ever accomplished so much in such a short period of time. That is true,” Trump said. “So we achieved the most secure border in American history.”
The crowd roared, and the President repeated it. “Most secure border in American history. In the past 17 months, zero illegal aliens have been admitted to the United States.”
Trump said the results go well beyond the border itself. “Record numbers of illegal alien criminals have been taken off the streets, and we’ve achieved the largest drop in violent crime ever recorded,” he said, adding that the murder rate is at its lowest level in well over a century.
It is a record no Democrat can match, and the President is taking it straight to voters ahead of Election Day on Nov. 3.
