The White House turned into Halloween headquarters on Thursday as President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed trick-or-treaters and handed out candy to children in costume.

The President previewed the fun when he landed at Joint Base Andrews on his way back from the campaign trail. “I think Air Force One is going to do a flyover, which will be exciting for the kids,” he told reporters. “We have a tremendous number of young children there, so it will be nice. First Lady and myself, we give out candy and things.”

“We have a beautiful Halloween,” President Trump said, “and I believe this big, beautiful plane is going to make a quick little flight right over the center and entertain the children. And it will be a lot of fun.”

He delivered. Air Force One swept over Washington during the celebration, a Halloween treat no other house in America can offer.

It capped a big day for the President, who rallied in Rock Hill, South Carolina, before heading home. “We had a great rally,” he said. “We’re going to have a strong Tuesday night.” Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
