American nuclear power is being built in East Tennessee again. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann was in Oak Ridge on Friday to celebrate Centrus, “an American enriching company that is doing tremendous work,” as it shipped its first large centrifuge to Piketon, Ohio.
“We actually sent off the first large centrifuge, which I was privileged to sign, from here to Piketon, Ohio,” Fleischmann said in his weekly “Fleischmann Friday” video. “Wonderful day. We have the workers here, everybody from around the community.”
It capped a big week for the Third District. Fleischmann joined Sen. Bill Hagerty and friends from Oak Ridge National Laboratory to welcome Japanese partners in Nashville, spoke to a record crowd of over a thousand people focused on workforce in Knoxville, and helped Miller Industries, “one of the best towing company manufacturers in the world,” celebrate 40 years with about 1,200 people.
Across the state, House Speaker Cameron Sexton wrapped up his 2026 American Dream Tour in downtown Lexington: “Nearly 2,000 miles and 26 stops across the Volunteer State.” His message: “Get out and VOTE RED on November 3rd and keep the American Dream alive in Tennessee!”
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Voters must bring a valid photo ID. Polling locations and sample ballots are at GoVoteTN.gov.
