Sen. Marsha Blackburn is making a simple closing argument to Tennessee voters in her run for governor: do not mess with success. “We’re an economic and prosperous powerhouse,” she says in a clip her campaign posted Friday. “We are a well-governed, well-led state.”
Blackburn tied the stakes to President Trump’s agenda. “With the president sending authority back to the states, now is the time to cement that conservative agenda, to build on this foundation that we have,” she said.
Her campaign put it plainly: “Tennessee is a well-led, well-governed state, and I intend to keep it that way. I’m the only conservative Republican in this race, and as your governor, I’ll make certain Tennessee continues moving in the right direction.”
On Saturday, the campaign counted down to the finish: “3 DAYS TO GO, TENNESSEE!” and urged voters to “Vote RED on Tuesday, November 3rd!” Blackburn spent part of the day at the ETSU game in Johnson City.
Tennessee has no state income tax, a booming economy and leaders who stand with the President. Blackburn is asking voters to keep it that way on Tuesday.
