The Department of Homeland Security had some fun with Halloween on Saturday, and the criminals it is hunting will not find it funny. DHS posted a Ghostbusters-style animated video asking the classic question, “Who you gonna call?” The answer: Homeland Security.
“Across America the lights are flickering. In the shadows of our cities, predators prey on the weak,” the narrator says. “American families have had enough. Then the call came in, and Homeland Security picked up.”
Then comes the roll call: “Virginia, Operation Safe Community. New York, Operation Rotten Apples. Memphis, Operation Corral Light. California, Operation Guardian Angel. Mississippi, Operation Muddy Waters.” A “2,197 ARRESTS” tally flashes over New York. DHS says Operation Rotten Apple took more than 2,100 criminal illegal aliens off New York’s streets, including murderers, pedophiles and rapists. In Memphis, Operation Corral Light netted 121 illegal aliens at a single nightclub on Aug. 30.
“Traps set, teams rolling, the haunting is ending,” the narrator says, as the officers load up their traps and the video closes on a “FRAUDBUSTERS” card. “You can hide in the dark, but Homeland Security brings the light.” Vice President JD Vance’s team joined in the same afternoon with a “FRAUDBUSTERS” cut of its own.
It is a fun video with a serious message. Every arrest in that montage is a predator who is not in a neighborhood tonight while families take their kids trick-or-treating. America has a Homeland Security department that picks up the phone, and the bad guys are the ones who should be scared.
