The man who speaks for America’s Border Patrol agents took the stage in Lubbock on Tuesday night and gave President Trump the credit for a secure border. “Because of this great president standing here today, the border is secure,” said Paul Perez, president of the National Border Patrol Council.
Perez has been on the line for nearly three decades. “For 29 years and under five presidents, I’ve been out there securing this border,” he said. “And no one has given us the support that President Trump has given us.”
“Everybody talked about it, but only one president did it,” Perez told the Texas crowd. “That’s President Trump.”
He also issued a warning one week before Election Day: “Without President Trump, this country will go to hell again.” Then he closed with a verdict from the front lines: “President Trump is by far the greatest president in the history of this country.”
Under the last administration, agents watched millions pour across the border. Under President Trump, the agents themselves are saying the job is done. Texas heard it straight from the men and women who know.
