American shipbuilding is coming home to the Gulf Coast. At his Corinth rally on Monday, President Trump told Mississippi that the largest military investment in the nation’s history is landing right in their backyard.
“We also made the largest ever investment in the U.S. armed forces,” the President said. “That was Roger Wicker working with me and lots of other people. Thank you, Roger. Great to see you, Roger.”
“This includes nearly $400 million this year to bring shipbuilding back to Gulfport and Pascagoula,” Trump said, as the crowd cheered the two Gulf Coast shipbuilding towns.
The President praised Wicker as “very powerful. Good guy. Good man,” a fitting tribute to the senator who has fought to rebuild America’s fleet.
For Mississippi families, it means good-paying jobs welding and building the ships that keep America strong at sea, another win from a President who is rebuilding the arsenal of freedom.
