President Trump reminded Fort Myers on Friday what “bring them home” looks like when America has a President who means it. “We got all of the 28 Hamas hostages returned to their families, both living and dead, and hundreds before that,” he said. “We got it. Everybody said that was impossible.”

The President spoke about the families. “I spoke to some of the parents,” he said. “Their son was dead. They knew he was dead, but they wanted him back.” Those families, he said, wanted their sons home just as much as the families whose sons were alive, the ones who would call him and talk to him at meetings.

“They wanted the body back,” Trump said, “and we got them all back, and nobody thought that was possible.”

And the work goes on. “Just yesterday, we got Stephen Hubbard back from Russia,” the President said, “which should have been done by the Biden administration.” Hubbard is now home. Under President Trump, Americans held abroad are not forgotten. They are brought home.
