Secretary of State Marco Rubio joined President Trump on stage at the final midterm rally in Salina, Kansas, and made the case in a few short sentences.
“The most important job every president does is keep you and your family safe,” Rubio said. “And no president in my lifetime has done that better than the one we have right now.”
“He works every single day to keep you and your families and our country safe,” Rubio said. “And because he’s our president, America is stronger, you’re safer, and our enemies are weaker all around the world.”
The President had some fun with it. “He’s doing a great job,” Trump said. “But he is getting too popular… Marco, I’m sorry. You’re fired.” As the crowd laughed, he added: “He’s a great guy. He’ll go down as the best secretary of state I think we’ve ever had.”
Peace through strength abroad and safety at home is the record. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
