Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-Tenn.) sat down Monday morning, Oct. 26, with Tom Arakawa of Denso, the auto parts maker with a long-running presence in McMinn County.
“Great meeting with Tom Arakawa this morning,” Fleischmann posted from his official account. “Denso has been a model corporate citizen in McMinn County for nearly three decades and continues to invest in our community.”
Fleischmann said he heard about the company’s future plans and pointed to a local project the two work on together. “It was wonderful to hear about Denso’s future plans, and I am so grateful to be able to work with them on projects like the Athens YMCA Early Childcare Learning Center to ensure the future remains bright here,” he wrote.
Later Monday, Fleischmann also highlighted American nuclear innovation and the U.S.-Japan alliance, writing that “through partnerships with Japan and other free nations, we are investing in critical energy infrastructure and supply chains so our adversaries cannot hold us hostage.”
