America’s fishermen are speaking for themselves, and they are saying thank you. A new White House video shows President Trump at the Resolute Desk with members of the fishing industry, and one after another they explain what his actions have meant on the water.
“By restoring fishing access to these waters in the western Pacific, we’re claiming our maritime heritage, empowering American fishermen, and putting American consumers first,” one says. “He’s the first president to do this, and we’re, as an industry, we’re excited, and we’re so thankful.”
“This is a massive win for our fishermen, massive win for our waterfront communities,” another says, crediting “President Donald Trump making American fishing great again.” Another puts it simply: “American fishermen have never had a better ally in the White House than Donald Trump.”
The White House says the President “has delivered historic wins for America’s fishing industry by putting American fishermen FIRST, unlocking billions of dollars in economic growth, revitalizing the industry, & providing critical regulatory relief.” As one fisherman says in the video: “For the first time, I’m hearing everywhere I go that fishermen are feeling heard.”
“With President Trump’s leadership, this is another promise made, promise kept,” another says, urging Americans to “ask for and enjoy U.S. wild harvest seafood.” The video closes with a line every working family understands: “Love you President Trump… You’re one of us now.”
