Vice President JD Vance brought the America First message to North Carolina on Monday, and he framed it in two words: common sense. “You know, it’s common sense that American homes should go to the American people,” Vance told the crowd, “which is why we banned Wall Street from buying up homes that ought by right go to the American citizens.”
Vance turned next to the medicine cabinet. “It’s common sense that your medicine should not cost double or triple what it costs in Europe,” he said, “which is why we created TrumpRx and the President of the United States told pharma CEOs to quit ripping you off. And that’s what they did.”
He took on safety on the highways, too. “It’s common sense, think about this, that if you’re behind a gigantic semi-truck, you ought to be able to read highway signs,” Vance said, “which is why we made English proficiency mandatory to obtain a commercial driver’s license in this state and all across our country.”
Then came the border, where the results speak for themselves. “Common sense is why under the Trump administration we’ve seen the lowest year-over-year illegal border crossings in American history,” Vance said. “It’s why we’ve now had 17 straight months of zero Border Patrol releases. It’s common sense that we end the Joe Biden border invasion, which is exactly what we did.”
Homes for American families, fair drug prices, safe roads and a secure border. That is the Golden Age agenda, and Vance is taking it on the road as Patriots head to the polls.
