President Trump made the case for clean elections in Georgia in remarks posted Sunday by @RapidResponse47.

A reporter noted that the Department of Justice will have poll monitors in six metro Atlanta counties and asked what they will be doing. “Well, they want to watch,” the President said. “In Fulton County, you know that disaster.”

“If they see something wrong, we want to all have honest elections,” he said. “The one thing we have to have is honest elections.”

Asked whether he is concerned about how elections are run in Georgia, Trump did not dodge. “When you look at the people that run Atlanta as an example, I would be worried about it,” he said. “But we won’t have to, because we’ll have professionals that just will be there to watch.”

Honest elections are not a partisan ask. Every legal vote should count, and every voter should trust the result. That is what the monitors are there to protect.
