WASHINGTON — The White House said it out loud Friday: America IS dominating the frontiers of science and technology. The official White House YouTube channel posted “American Innovation,” a Golden Age reminder that under President Donald J. Trump the United States is not apologizing for winning — it is accelerating.
At the Science: A New Golden Age Summit, President Trump presented National Medals of Science and National Medals of Technology and Innovation to six of America’s greatest living innovators. The White House framed the honors as part of restoring U.S. global scientific and technological leadership — from harnessing super intelligence for discovery to a nuclear renaissance, space superiority, and quantum advantage.
OSTP Director Michael Kratsios called it the most transformative day for the American scientific enterprise since the postwar research rebuild, with initiatives representing over $6 billion across the Federal Government, industry, academia, and philanthropy. The agenda: equip American scientists with super intelligence, replace DEI with merit, revive national missions, and build institutions that accelerate discovery.
