With early voting in its final days, Marsha Blackburn made her closing case to Tennessee on Wednesday. “I love Tennessee and Tennesseans and want the best for them,” she said in a clip shared by her campaign. “What drives me is every day I say what can I do today that is going to make the lives of Tennesseans better.”
Blackburn said her campaign has worked hard to reach voters across the state. “For us the most effective use of our time and the most effective way was to be out there every single day with our message and pushing that message forward,” she said, “and that is what we’ve done.”
She left no doubt about the choice on the ballot. “It’s an honor to be the Republican nominee in this race,” Blackburn said. “There’s only one Republican on this ballot and that Republican is me.” Her campaign added: “I’ll never stop fighting for the people of our great state.”
Tennesseans have been turning out in force, with state figures showing more than 1 million early and absentee votes cast through Tuesday, Oct. 27. Early voting ends Thursday, Oct. 29, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
