The American Dream is on the road in Tennessee. House Speaker Cameron Sexton kicked off his American Dream Tour in Jonesborough on Monday, and by nightfall the bus had covered nearly 200 miles across East Tennessee, wrapping up with the Campbell County GOP.
“Great first day of the American Dream Tour!” Sexton posted. “Thank you to everyone who came out and showed support across East Tennessee - excited to start day 2 in Loudon County!”
Day two opened at Tellico Village in Loudon County, the tour’s sixth stop, before rolling on to Cambridge Square in Hamilton County. Sexton, Sen. Bill Hagerty and Glenn Jacobs are set to meet voters at Express Lunch in Crossville from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Central on Tuesday, according to 102.5 WOW.
Sexton told WJHL the goal is to “deliver the message on why our state’s doing well, why the American Dream lives in Tennessee, and why it’s important to vote for Republicans.” The tour heads west all the way to Memphis and back.
Tennesseans are already answering. Early voting runs through Thursday, Oct. 29, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Bring a photo ID and find your polling place at GoVoteTN.gov.
