Marsha Blackburn has a plan for Tennessee’s budget, and it starts on day one. “As your governor, I’m going to give that budget a haircut every single year,” Blackburn said Monday on The Matt Murphy Show.

“We’re at $59 billion in our state budget, and that is why I’m going to do a DOGE, and it’s going to be one of the very first things I do,” she said.

Blackburn framed the plan around Tennessee families. “Every Tennessean deserves to keep more of their hard-earned money,” she wrote in sharing the interview.

It is the same America First approach President Trump brought to Washington: find the waste, cut it and put the money back in the hands of the people who earned it.

Early voting in Tennessee runs through Thursday, Oct. 29, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
