America is going back to the moon, and the crew that will take us there stopped by the White House. The White House released a video of the Artemis III astronauts’ visit with President Trump in the Oval Office.

“My name is Jared Isaacman. I am the administrator of NASA,” the video opens. “I get the privilege of leading the world’s most accomplished space agency during the golden age of science and discovery. We are going back to the moon. We’re here with Artemis III. They launch in 2027.”

The crew, Andre Douglas, Luca Parmitano, Randy Bresnik and Frank Rubio, met the President at the Resolute Desk. “We are so excited to represent America and the American people,” one astronaut said. European Space Agency astronaut Luca Parmitano said Europe wants to be America’s “strongest and most reliable partner” on the mission.

NASA will use a lineup of American rockets, “from the SLS to the Starship and to the Blue Origin rocket,” laying the groundwork for the next phase of human exploration. The mission, the crew said, “shows American leadership in space and the Artemis program leading humans back to the moon and onto Mars.”

Under President Trump, America is leading in space again.
