On Election Day, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement shared the words of Angel Dad Marcus Coleman, whose daughter Dalilah was hurt when an illegal alien from India crashed a semi-truck. “My daughter didn’t put herself in harm’s way, you know, and she’s a true victim,” Coleman said. “A victim is somebody who didn’t ask for it.”
He had a simple answer for people who attack secure borders. “You lock your door at nighttime when you go to sleep. When you go to the mall or to the store, you lock your car,” Coleman said. “It’s the exact same thing. You’re trying to protect what’s yours.”
“Here in the United States, we work very hard for what it is that we have and where it is that we’re at,” he said. “And in order for the United States to remain the best country that it is, we have to secure our borders. If not, we’re going to allow everybody and anybody to come in.”
ICE posted the clip with a message about the law that carries his daughter’s name: Dalilah’s Law works to protect American roadways.
Families like the Colemans are why President Trump closed the border and is putting American safety first, on the border and on the road.
