TYLER, Texas — Same midterm day, same energy dominance. While President Trump stacked Alaska wins in Wasilla, Vice President JD Vance stood on the Tyler tarmac and announced a Defense Production Act expansion at the Delek refinery — America First refining capacity where Patriots work.

“Today I am pleased to announce that the Trump Administration, working with the refinery at Delek, has used the Defense Production Act and we are going to expand the refinery right here in Tyler, Texas,” Vance said. President Trump has called on refineries across the country to boost production and bring energy prices down for American families — and Tyler is answering.

The goal is millions of additional gallons of commercial-grade and military-spec fuel on top of what the plant already produces. Vance spelled out what that means at the kitchen table: lower costs to fly, lower costs to drive to work every day, a more reliable energy supply, a stronger national defense — and “hundreds of good-paying new jobs just like Austin’s right here in Smith County.”

That is the Golden Age playbook from Alaska’s LNG corridor to East Texas refining: produce more, defend the homeland, and put paychecks in American hands. Watch Rapid Response 47’s video of the Vice President’s Tyler announcement.
