WASHINGTON — The Fake News keeps predicting a quiet midterm. The crowds keep proving them wrong. Standing on the South Lawn with Marine One waiting behind him Monday afternoon, President Donald J. Trump was asked how he thinks November will turn out. “Right now I’m going to Ohio,” he said. “I think the rallies have had a massive impact. You see, the numbers go up every time I have a rally.”

Then came the part the legacy networks never show. “Every one of them sold out. Every one of them has thousands of people standing outside,” the President said. “In fact, we’re getting the jumbotrons, the big televisions, that go in the outside of a building… We have thousands of people that can’t get in. I think the rallies are having a tremendously positive impact and effect on the Republicans.”

Tonight’s stop is the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, where the President is expected to speak around 7 p.m. Eastern for Sen. Jon Husted, gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy and the Ohio America First ticket. It caps a barnstorm that has already packed arenas from Clarksville, Tennessee to Syracuse, New York and Grand Island, Nebraska — each one a rebuttal to the empty-seat narratives peddled by the press.

The math is simple for Patriots: 22 days to Election Day, a President drawing overflow crowds in steel country, and a Golden Age record of tax cuts, a sealed border and factory jobs coming home to campaign on.
