President Donald J. Trump just locked in the Oval Office for the ages. On Thursday he signed a proclamation under the Antiquities Act establishing the Oval Office as a National Monument — and protecting the Roosevelt Cabinet Room with it — as landmarks for the American people.

“There’s no major modification without the approval of Congress,” the President said. “So if they want to say let’s not have the Oval anymore, let’s make it square, what happens is they have to go back to Congress.” That is how you stop radicals from erasing history with a wrecking crew.

Trump made clear the rooms “won’t be able to be taken down, destroyed, touched, or anything else.” “It’s a federal landmark,” he said. “And when completed, and when we get the documentation fully done, legally binding, it’ll make it impossible for anybody ever to destroy this incredible space.”

The move follows a week of America First White House renewal — from the Lincoln Reflecting Pool remarks to the new ballroom tour. Under President Trump, the people’s house is being restored, protected, and handed forward stronger than he found it.

Patriots know the Oval Office is more than furniture and paint. It is where America First decisions are made. President Trump just made sure the next generation inherits the symbol — not a blank construction site.
