HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — President Trump told Kentucky Patriots on Saturday that the era of woke government is over. At his midterm rally at Northern Kentucky University, he listed what his administration has already done to put common sense and merit back at the center of American life.

“We abolished all discriminatory diversity, equity and inclusion policy,” the President said. Rapid Response 47 summed up the rest: Critical Race Theory and transgender insanity are out of our schools and our military.

“We made English the official language of the United States of America,” Trump said. He signed the executive order designating English as the nation’s official language in March 2025.

Then he got to the one he called “a very big one to me.” “You know, our country was built on merit,” the President said. “The top people do the job.” “We won, somewhat unexpectedly, I tell you, took courage for them,” he said. “We won in the Supreme Court of the United States the right for merit.”

“Our country is once again based on merit,” Trump declared. That is the America First promise: hire the best, reward hard work and treat every American as an American. Watch the President in the video above.
