WASHINGTON — The money is real, and it is landing now. Michael Dell said Thursday that by Friday, October 9, 2026, “25 million American children will have our gift of $250 in their accounts.” That is $6.25 billion from Michael and Susan Dell, “invested in kids” and “compounding for decades,” poured straight into the Trump Accounts that President Donald J. Trump built for the next generation. “Promise made. Promise kept,” Dell wrote. “$250 is only the beginning.”
The White House marked the moment Friday morning with a new video of the children this program was made for. “When I turn 18, I want to use my Trump Account savings to go to vet school to become a veterinarian,” one girl says. Another plans to invest hers in college savings. Others want to go to their dream university, buy a house, or go to medical school. The video ends the way the families in it feel: “Thank you, President Trump.”
It all started with a promise President Trump kept on Wednesday in the Oval Office. “Today I’m pleased to announce that every single eligible minor child in America has now been automatically enrolled in a Trump Account,” he said. That is about 70 million accounts, one for every child under 18 with a valid Social Security number. Children born from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2028 also receive a one-time $1,000 seed from the Treasury once a parent or guardian claims the account.
From here, families, friends and employers can keep building. Relatives can add up to $5,000 a year and employers up to $2,500, and the money is invested in index funds that track the American stock market until the child turns 18. More than 70 companies have already signed on to contribute for their employees’ children. Under President Trump, every American child now owns a piece of the booming economy he is building.
Parents, the money is waiting. “If you have a child under 18, claim their account and see how much is in there now,” Dell urged. Download the official Trump Accounts app or visit TrumpAccounts.gov, verify your identity and your relationship to your child, and accept the account terms. The White House video says it plainly: “I urge all parents to download the official Trump Account app. It’s really amazing.” Watch the Official White House video.
