Marsha Blackburn brought her campaign for governor to Johnson City on Wednesday night, standing shoulder to shoulder with Jessica Means, the Republican nominee for Tennessee House District 1, and asking East Tennessee to turn out early.

“Hi there, I am with Jessica Means. Now she is our nominee in district one for the State House,” Blackburn said in a video posted by her campaign. “I need everybody in district one. Get out, cast that ballot for Jessica Means, and while you’re at it, put in a vote for Marsha Blackburn for governor.”

Means returned the support. “Thank you so much for your selection in this as a conservative Republican nominee in district one,” she said. “We are going to have a great next governor in Marsha Blackburn, our only conservative Republican on the ballot. So get out and vote for us both.”

“Great to be in Johnson City tonight with Jessica Means,” Blackburn wrote. “Get out and vote early! Vote Jessica, vote Marsha, and let’s keep Tennessee red!” Turnout is already running hot: 490,534 Tennesseans had voted early or absentee through Tuesday, Oct. 20, according to the Secretary of State.

Early voting runs through Thursday, Oct. 29. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
