WASHINGTON — Columbus Day is Day One in the Press Briefing Room. President Donald J. Trump confirmed that Katie Zacharia begins her term as White House Press Secretary today, with her introductory news conference set for Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. “Katie has been with me, in spirit, from the very beginning, and will do a fantastic job!” the President wrote.

The White House amplified the schedule on X: “TUESDAY. @KatieZacharia INTRO NEWS CONFERENCE.” It is the natural next step after the President named her last week — “She’s going to be terrific” — to carry the Golden Age message into the midterm stretch after Karoline Leavitt’s departure.

Zacharia steps in as the administration marks Christopher Columbus as a hero, manufacturing jobs roar back, and the President takes the midterm fight to Youngstown. Patriots who want a Press Secretary who fights for the truth instead of the Fake News have their champion starting this morning.

Tuesday’s 9:30 a.m. debut will set the tone for the final weeks before November 3: America First, no apologies, and a White House that answers to the American people — not the legacy networks. Watch the Official White House video.
