A champion took the stage with the President in South Carolina on Wednesday night. Evander Holyfield, the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, joined President Trump at the podium during his rally at Clemson University and brought the arena to its feet.
“First of all, I’m thankful to be here and I thank Donald Trump,” Holyfield told the crowd, standing beside the President at the presidential seal.
The boxing legend, who won the heavyweight crown four times, said he always lived by one rule in the ring. “Every time I fought, I fought to win,” Holyfield said, before turning to the man beside him: “I’m so happy for him to be our President. And so thank you very much.”
Holyfield’s appearance capped a night of star power in the Upstate. Clemson graduate Jacob Bridgeman, who sank the putt that clinched the 2026 Presidents Cup for Team USA, also joined the President on stage, one night after NASCAR legend Richard Petty appeared with Trump in Greenville, North Carolina.
For a President who has made winning his trademark, there was no better company on stage than the man who fought his way to the top of the heavyweight division. America’s champions are standing with President Trump as the Nov. 3 midterms approach.
