SAN ANTONIO — The barnstorm rolls into the Alamo City tonight. President Donald J. Trump headlines a Midterm Rally at the Freeman Coliseum on San Antonio’s East Side on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with doors opening at 2:30 PM Central, the program starting at 4:30, and the President set to speak at 6:00 PM. Air Force One is expected to land at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland’s Kelly Field after 3 PM. It is his third trip to Texas in a month, after the RNC rally in Dallas and last week’s visit to the Peterbilt truck plant in Denton.

He is coming to keep Texas red. Attorney General Ken Paxton, the Republican running for the U.S. Senate seat now held by John Cornyn, will speak, as will Carlos De La Cruz, the Republican nominee in the redrawn 35th Congressional District and the brother of Rep. Monica De La Cruz. “This Wednesday, I’m joining President Donald J. Trump in San Antonio for a Rally to keep Texas red and keep America First,” Paxton wrote on X.

President Trump says the rallies are already working. Back on the South Lawn Tuesday evening, after launching the new Sparrows Point shipyard in Baltimore, a reporter asked him about Paxton. “Ken’s doing much better now… since starting the rallies,” the President said. “It’s brought a whole new awareness to how great the Republicans are doing, how great the economy is doing in terms of $21 trillion being invested, factories being built all over the country, ships being built, everything is being built. There’s never been anything like it, not only for us, for any country in the world.” That morning he had put it even more simply on Truth Social: “MY RALLIES ARE SAVING THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, AGAIN!!!” Early Wednesday he shared a report that over 14,000 net voters registered as Republicans in Florida in a single month.

Asked how he will deliver the $5,000 Trump Dividend, the President was confident. “It’ll work out very easily. It’s going to work out very well,” he said. “Just like we got 1776 for our military.” If Republicans win, the dividend happens, he explained, and the Democrats cannot do it because they do not do tariffs. On the issue that matters most to voters, he pointed to the record: “More people are working in America today than at any time in history,” the poverty rate is the lowest ever recorded, and “individual people are making more money than they’ve ever made.”

The President is also leading on a developing story overseas. Asked about the suspected pneumonic plague death of a lab worker in Russia’s Irkutsk region, he said he has a call scheduled with Vladimir Putin “very soon,” adding: “So far, we’re in very deep discussions. We’ll be able to report about it probably tomorrow.” The CDC says it is closely monitoring and sees no indication of a broader threat to the United States.
