WASHINGTON — The waiters, bartenders, and service workers who keep America running are saying thank you. On Sunday afternoon, October 4, 2026, the White House posted a new Official video: “Americans across the country are thanking President Trump for delivering on No Tax on Tips.” It is a simple message with a big meaning. President Donald J. Trump made a promise to working people, and he kept it.

The promise was born in Las Vegas on the campaign trail. It became law through the One Big Beautiful Bill, which President Trump signed on the South Lawn. Under the law, as the IRS explains it, eligible workers in tipped jobs can deduct up to $25,000 in qualified tips from their federal taxable income for tax years 2025 through 2028 — whether they take the standard deduction or itemize. The benefit phases down only for incomes above $150,000, or $300,000 for married couples filing jointly. In other words, it is built for the working class.

The numbers are already in. According to the White House, more than 53 million Americans claimed at least one of President Trump’s new tax cuts this filing season — including six million filers who claimed No Tax on Tips for an average deduction of more than $7,100, and more than 25 million who claimed No Tax on Overtime for an average deduction of $3,100. That is real money for rent, gas, and groceries.

Workers have been saying it for months. When the President returned to Las Vegas in April to celebrate the policy, one local resident told the White House, “I received the largest tax return in my life this year all because my tips weren’t being taxed any longer.” A waitress called it a tremendous help. A bartender called it “amazing.” Today’s video carries that same gratitude from coast to coast.

The midterm contrast could not be clearer. The White House notes that every Democrat in Congress voted against this relief. With about 30 days to go until November 3, Patriots know who fights for the people who earn their living one table at a time. Watch the new Official White House video. Promise made. Promise kept.
