MOBILE, Ala. — The preview was the schedule. The after-action is the roar. On Friday night, October 2, 2026, President Donald J. Trump packed the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell Center and delivered more than an hour of America First midterm fire — endorsements, shipyard wins, bridge money, and a turnout charge Alabama Patriots will quote until November.
Local coverage from MyNBC15 captured the ticket on stage. Trump endorsed Sen. Tommy Tuberville for governor, Rep. Barry Moore for U.S. Senate, and House candidates Jerry Carl and Marqus Rhett — calling them up as the crowd answered. This was not a drive-by. It was Day Two of the barnstorm paying respect, as Trump told the arena, to people who have loved him every day.
Mobile got the investment reel. Trump highlighted funding for the I-10 Mobile River Bridge, declared his Administration invested $30 billion to revitalize American shipbuilding, and noted brand-new Coast Guard cutters rising right in Mobile Bay. Port City workers heard the Golden Age story in their own skyline — manufacturing, maritime muscle, and Made-in-America steel in the water.
The political charge was blunt and Patriotic. Trump told the crowd to vote like he is on the ballot. He repeated the promise that if Republicans win, Americans will each have $5,000 in their pocket and economic success like the country has never seen. He teased a return to Alabama next week for the Alabama-Georgia game in Tuscaloosa on October 10 — another America First night in Crimson country.
Friday also marked Trump’s third visit to the Port City and his first indoor Mobile rally, after launching his first presidential campaign here at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in 2015. He closed the night the way Patriots expect: signature YMCA, plus a golf-swing flourish after needling Tuberville about who is the better golfer. Showmanship with a turnout purpose.
Watch the Official White House Denton site-visit tape while Mitchell Center galleries catch up — and swap this hero the minute Official WH stage stills post (Waylon: update both the morning preview and this after-action). Saturday the barnstorm is already in Vandalia. Alabama did its job Friday night. Ohio is next. November is the prize.
