Homeland Security put the human cost on the record. In an official Nov. 6 video titled in spirit by DHS itself — “This is our why” — the Department said University of New Haven student Ryan O’Shea, 21, was killed Oct. 16 in a head-on crash in North Haven, Connecticut, when a truck traveling the wrong way struck his vehicle.
The driver, DHS said, was Guillermo Carmona-Lopez, a 31-year-old Mexican illegal alien. “He should never have been in the United States in the first place, let alone behind the wheel.” His family “joins the many American families who have been left with unimaginable loss. Loss that was preventable.”
Ryan’s sister Katherine remembered a “beautiful soul” who taught her what striving for greatness looks like: “Ryan O’Shea will never be forgotten.” That is the America President Trump’s DHS is fighting for — one where citizens are not collateral damage for open-border ideology.
Under Trump, enforcement is not optional. Illegal aliens who should never have been here do not get a free pass to end American lives. Sealed borders. Deportations. Justice for Ryan.
This is our why. Never forget Ryan O’Shea.
